International MBA Experiences: An Invaluable, Global Perspective
Flexible study abroad options, from two weeks to an entire term
In today’s global economy, successful businesses set their sights on the world. They see extraordinary opportunities in North and South America, in Europe, Asia, and elsewhere. And they want MBAs who can help them tap those markets.
Union Graduate College prepares our MBA graduates for the global economy by offering a variety of international experiences, from one-week faculty-led programs to full terms abroad. During their time overseas, students gain an understanding and sensitivity that’s not possible from coursework alone. They return to the U.S. with a more global perspective—and with insights they can draw on throughout their careers.
One-week, faculty-led trips
Students can take advantage of two courses that culminate in faculty-led trips abroad, exposing the students to a rich business, university, and cultural experience. This is the preferred option for many part-time students whose schedules can’t accommodate a full term abroad.

A "mini term" in Germany
Students take an intensive, two-week summer course at the Hector School of Engineering and Management, the business school of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Karlsruhe, Germany. The course, which is taught in English, fulfills one of the MBA advanced course requirements.
A full term in China or France
Full-time students and others with more flexible schedules can immerse themselves in a foreign culture for a full term at one of our partner institutions:
Students may take courses that can be applied to their advanced course requirements. Courses are taught in English. Because Union Graduate College and our partner institutions have similar fall schedules, fall typically is the best time to study abroad.

Reading about China is interesting and informative, but having the opportunity to visit the country, experience the culture, and observe the pace of growth and life lends a deeper understanding of the way decisions are made and business is conducted. Visiting China has helped to define my career path and streamlined my interests in international management
